A pregnant housewife, identified as  Juliet Ozoarinze, has been arrested by the Police  for allegedly torturing a 10-year-old girl, Blessing, in Ijesha, Surulere, Lagos State. Two suspects arrested in connection with the death of Tagbo Umeike, the late friend of pop singer Davido have both confessed that they brought Tagbo alive to the General Hospital before he gave up the ghost. One of the suspects identified simply as Olaoye who is currently detained at the Police State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, said Tagbo was still breathing when they arrived at the hospital. He said Tagbo was rushed to the hospital when he complained that his stomach was burning but he gave up the ghost minutes after they arrived the hospital and at the time the doctor arrived, Tagbo had died. Two teenage boys met their untimely death on Tuesday at Ntotroso, a mining community in the Asutifi North District of the Brong Ahafo Region while doing the popular ‘One Corner’ dance on a motorbike. According to Ghana News Agency, the deceased were identified as   Kwabena Fante ,  17 and  Nyarko Abronoma ,  15. They were said to be riding on a motorbike and at the same time dancing to the popular ‘One Corner’ tune when they collided with another person and crashed into a structure. Olamide Odewusi, a 30-year-old, has appeared before an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court charged with rape and impregnating a 17-year-old girl. Rape The accused, a phone technician, resides at 13, Ogunsheye St., Ajegunle in Alagbado, a suburb of Lagos. He was, however, released on a bail of N250,000 with two sureties in like sum. The Prosecutor, Insp. Clifford Ogu told the court that the offence was committed on May 12 at the accused’s residence. Ogu said the accused, who met the girl at a party, obtained her phone number and has since been calling her. “The accused lured the girl into his apartment on the pretext of fixing her faulty phone, shut the door and raped her,’’ he said.
