10 year-old househelp assaulted by her boss, for eating children's meat

A pregnant housewife, identified as  Juliet Ozoarinze, has been arrested by the Police  for allegedly torturing a 10-year-old girl, Blessing, in Ijesha, Surulere, Lagos State. The mother of four was also accused of assaulting the victim since she started living with the (Juliet’s) family in July 2017. She was alleged to have used different objects on her over allegations of being tardy in running errands, not being prompt in answering summons and practising witchcraft. The suspect’s husband, Kenneth, was reported to have returned Blessing to her aunt, Vivian, on Tuesday, October 17, after the wife allegedly used a knife to cut the 10-year-old in the hand for allegedly stealing and eating the food meant for her children. Vivian, who gave the couple the child because Kenneth was a family friend, told our correspondent that Kenneth said he was returning the child because of the injury. The last has not been heard of the controversy surrounding the death of Tagbo Umeike, friend to Nigerian popstar Davido, as the other suspects who were detained by the police have given an insight into what actually happened the night Tagbo died. Tagbo & Davido TORI News  reported on Friday  that the late Tagbo Umeike, who reportedly died from suffocation and alcohol poisoning after his birthday party at Shisha Lounge in Lekki, Lagos on October 2, was finally buried in his family compound in Anambra State on Friday. According to a new report by  Daily Sun , some of the suspects who were detained after interrogation at the Police State Criminal Investigation Department in Panti, have told the police that they dumped Tagbo’s body and fled the hospital when the doctor on duty confirmed that he was dead for fear of being treated as suspects.
